EUforAnimals: Francisco Guerreiro supports campaign for a European Commissioner for Animal Welfare

Lisboa, 14 de janeiro de 2023 - Na tarde de sexta-feira, dia 13 de janeiro, o Eurodeputado Francisco Guerreiro esteve no Gabinete do Parlamento Europeu em Lisboa para a apresentação da campanha em Portugal para um Comissário Europeu para o bem-estar animal.
A convite da "ANIMAL", organização não-governamental de defesa dos direitos fundamentais dos animais não-humanos, Francisco Guerreiro foi um dos oradores convidados para este evento, que afirmou a ambição de que no próximo mandato da Comissão Europeia seja destacado/a explicitamente um/a Comissário/a que tenha no seu título "bem-estar animal". Atualmente, na presente configuração, tal título seria acrescentado à pasta assumida pela Comissária Stella Kyririades da seguinte forma "Commissioner for Health, Food Safety and Animal Welfare".
