MEP presents fast recovery votes to Japan's outgoing Prime Minister
Brussels, 1 September 2020 - MEP Francisco Guerreiro sends his best wishes for a speedy recovery to the Prime Minister of Japan, following last week's news on his resignation.
As a Member of the delegation for relations with Japan in the European Parliament, the MEP wishes the best to Japan and its next Prime Minister, in a note sent to the Japanese Ambassador to the European Union.
"I am convinced that the EU and Japan will continue to be close friends and like-minded allies. For my part, I hope to continue our good cooperation, especially in the areas of sustainable trade, biodiversity and climate change," said the MEP.
