MEPs concerned over security threat from Chinese 5G vendors
Brussels, 14 October 2020 - Members of the European Parliament from five political groups showed concern about the security threat and unfair competition posed by China's 5G vendors in a letter sent to Commissioners Thierry Breton, Margrethe Vestager and Valdis Dombrovskis.
MEPs call, in particular, for the exclusion of financing by the Member States or the European Union when it comes to the acquisition of this technology.
