Mobilization of the European Globalization Adjustment Fund - Application EGF/2024/000 TA 2024 - Technical assistance at the initiative of the Commission

I voted in favor of this funding from the EGF. The European Globalization Adjustment Fund aims to show solidarity and promote sustainable and decent employment in the Union by supporting workers and self-employed people who have lost their jobs due to massive restructuring events by helping them to return to the decent and sustainable labour market as soon as possible. The EGF does not provide funding to any company and does not replace actions that are the responsibility of companies. This specific case concerns the technical assistance that the Commission provides to individual workers, independent of major cases, and involves funding of EUR 165,000, which corresponds to only 0.49% of the EGF's total budget.
